The small-sized enprobe EFS-105 is optimized for near-field measurements - this is a main application of the probe system.

For near-field measurements, the interaction between the electro-magnetic field and the probe has to be kept as small as possible. Due to the small size and the optical feeding of the probe head, there is no field distortion caused by the probe. This allows for an unsurpassed precision of measurements not possible so far.

Furthermore, the enprobe EFS-105 enables the measurement of the real and imaginary part of the field (or amplitude and phase, respectively). Due to the compact size of the probe head, this type of measurements is now possible with a spatial resolution not known so far.
